Meet Bronwynne

Centre Wellington is my home and has been since I was very young. It was a wonderful place to grow up and an even better place to raise my three children who are now young adults.

I have been an active member of this community through volunteer work with the Centre Wellington Community Foundation, Fergus-Elora District Soccer, local pony clubs, the Fergus BIA, and the Groves Memorial Hospital Board.

I hold three degrees from the University of Guelph – a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, a masters’ degree in Rural Planning and Landscape Architecture, and a PhD in Rural Studies. I worked for several years at the University of Guelph as an instructor in the Natural Resources Management program and as Manager of Knowledge Mobilization for the OMAFRA-U of G Partnership. I also ran my own consulting firm, Wilton Consulting Group, where my team and I focused on strategic initiatives in the Ontario agriculture and agri-food sector.

As a member of Council for Centre Wellington, I have held the following committee appointments:

  • Healthy Communities Advisory Committee
  • Fergus Business Improvement Area (BIA)
  • Groves Memorial Hospital Board

As a non-board committee member for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), I hold the following committee appointments:

  • Ontario Caucus
  • Environmental Issues and Sustainable Development Standing Committee
  • Social Economic Development Standing Committee
  • Committee of the Whole
